Girl Skateboards have teamed up for a second time with Kodak, bringing us another stunning collaboration deck series and apparel line. This has proved to be an ideal pairing with Girl having always been at the forefront of skate video production and such a strong visual presence, and Kodak with it's rich history in analog photography and film.
The inspiration for the graphics in this line come once again from the iconic Kodak 35mm film canisters that have been so familiar to photographers throughout the world, with their unmistakable yellow design. This time there's also some nice little foil touches and the incorporation of the product barcode in to the designs.
The collection consists of the Girl Skateboards x Kodak decks series, with Rick McCrank, Andrew Brophy, Mike Carroll, Cory Kennedy, Rick Howard, Jeron Wilson and Mike Mo Capaldi. And in addition to the hardware there's also t-shirts and longsleeves carrying co-branded designs designs featuring the logo's and colour pallet some of Kodak's best known products like Ektachrome, Kodachrome and Gold 400.
There's also some headwear in the form of the Girl x Kodak 400 Cuff Beanie in Gold or Black, which come with a small embroidered Girl logo sewn on to the folded cuff.
To promote the new collab Girl sent a crew of riders on a filming trip to London for a few days, with Rick McCrank, Manchild, Simon Bannerot and Sean Malto in attendance, so keep an eye out for that dropping pretty soon too.
