Stussy

Stussy came in to being in 1980 when surfboard shaper Shawn Stussy started to tag his surname on to his boards, and after that putting it on to t-shirts and shorts too he sold out of the back of his car in his local Laguna Beach, California.

Its popularity grew dramatically though skate culture bringing it off the beach and putting it on to the street, and from there in to hip hop, punk rock, and art. And through it’s support of dj’s, skaters, rappers and artists it became one of the first global streetwear brands and from there transcended the subcultures to be embraced by the masses but still never losing touch with it’s roots.
