Girl Skateboards was established in 1993 by Rick Howard, Mike Carroll, Megan Baltimore and Spike Jonze and is Based in Torrence C.A. Formed after they and other riders from several World Industries brands wanted to leave and set up their own company. Such skaters as Guy Mariano, Jovontae Turner, Rudy Johnson, Tim Gavin, Eric Koston and Sean Sheffey left to join them.

With the mix of incredible skateboarding, iconic graphics being produced by the in-house Art Dump (Andy Jenkins, Andy Mueller, Geoff McFetridge, Kevin Lyons, Evan Hecox, Hershal Baltrotsky and others) and the film making and creativity of Spike Jonze and Ty Evans. No wonder they and their sister company Chocolate went on to dominate skateboarding for over 20 years. Releasing a string of classic videos such as Goldfish, Mouse, Yeah Right, Pretty Sweet and Doll. And now, young riders like Simon Bannerot, Manchild, Griffin Gass and Breana Geering to carry the torch for them.
