Lakai Footwear was established in 1999 by Rick Howard and Mike Carroll as the skate shoe brand made for skateboarders by the Crailtap family (Girl/Chocolate/Fourstar/Royal Trucks), and based in Torrance California along with the other brands.

Since its conception the company has been known for not only shoes designed and inspired by skateboarding, incredible legend studded team but also it’s very strong visual presence by producing the spectacular Fully Flared, which was possibly the most watched skate video of the decade.
