A few weekends back saw the official opening of the new Hayling Island skatepark, celebrating it's completion with a full day of fun, competitons and giveaways laid on by the Hayling Skatepark Project organisers. Thankfully the weather was good and there was a great turn out from all ages and disciplines. There was a full demo laid on from the guys at Camp Rubicon, with our guy Matt Grey also getting involved too. Competitions were held for or both under 16's and over 16's, with some serious shredding going down from all that took part. The prizes for both of the events were kindly provided by Carhartt WIP, New Balance Numeric and Krooked Skateboards. So a huge thanks toall of them for the support, as well as shouts out to Matt Pilkington and the rest of the Hayling Skatepark Project for getting this rad new skatepark organised. Maverick Skateparks did a great job on the build, and hopefully we'll see a similar jam around the same time next year.
